CUDDLE WORKSHOP

7TH MAY 2017

Cuddle workshops have been running all over the world and their popularity is increasing.

Having explored and deeply enjoyed non-sexual touch through various workshops, I have decided to bring my version of cuddles to Sheffield.

Being touched and hugged is essential for our wellbeing and for our happiness.

Research shows that hugging is extremely effective at healing sickness, disease, loneliness, depression, anxiety and stress.

The nurturing touch:

*       builds trust and sense of safety

*       helps to open up and have honest communication

*       instantly boosts oxytocin levels, which heal feelings of loneliness, isolation and anger

*       helps increase serotonin levels which elevate mood and create happiness

*       strengthens the immune system

*       releases muscles’ tension

*       balances our nervous system

As Virginia Satir, a respected family therapist said: “We need four hugs a day for survival, eight for maintenance and twelve for growth.”

Are you getting enough cuddles in your life? Or, do you love cuddling and would love to share it with others?

Come along to Cuddle Sheffield, meet some great people, experience nurturing touch, and have fun.

We provide a safe, boundaried and beautiful space to explore touch. You will be invited to participate in a number of pair and group exercises, but working within your boundaries and at your pace. This is a “clothes-on” workshop, with mix-gender participants

Cuddle Sheffield offers not only a great good-feeling experience, but will also boost your happy hormones and give you an opportunity to:

*       give and receive good quality touch

*       relax deeply when being touched

*       connect with others

*       learn about your boundaries and how to communicate them

*       let go of some preconceptions about physical touch

*       understand how to get more satisfying touch

About me

I have always loved cuddles and appreciated their importance to my health and wellbeing. Our culture and the pace of living often deprive us from nurturing touch. I want to demystify touch and hugging and help others to meet their needs for nurturing physical contact.

I have been on a self-development journey for over 16 years now. I have explored Buddhism, Hinduism and Tantra. Presently I am studying and assisting teaching on a shamanic path. I teach yoga and practice conscious touch.

I am an experienced facilitator and facilitated workshops both in Europe and in the U.K.

I provide coaching and training to individuals and group, working for a university and a number of consultancies in Sheffield.
